Feature Set for Revit, Revit MEP and Revit Structure

Cut Opening PRO features and functions

For creating and cutting openings in Revit BIM model

Cut Opening provides a set of powerful tools for creating and cutting openings in building construction.

  • Revit add-on Cut Opening automatically cuts openings where MEP elements intersect with structural elements | tools4revitCut Opening utilizes Revit "Interference Check" results for adding openings.
  • Automatically creates openings where ducts, pipes, cable trays or conduits intersect walls, floors or ceilings.
  • Adds opening offset if needed.
  • User can change the type and shape of opening.
  • The cut offset and shape of opening can be locked.
  • Ability to change/delete existing openings if needed.
  • Works with linked files. Architectural project can be linked to MEP project as well as MEP project can be linked to Architectural part.
  • Ability to join/unjoin several openings.
  • Adds openings to the structural walls if architects and structural engineers work with separate wall layers. If architects add windows and doors to their wall layers, later there will be added structural openings to structural walls in the same places and with the same sizes.
  • Ability to reverse the grouping tree. Then the user will be able to filter openings that are on specific walls, floors or ceilings.
