Powerful Revit Architecture, Revit MEP
and Revit Structure extension
helps you quickly
design
buildings, manage facilities and analyze BIM
data
Compatible with Revit 2010,
Revit 2011, Revit 2012
and Revit 2013
The
TOOLS4REVIT Building Information
Detailing (BID) extension works with
current or linked projects and provides a
powerful set of tools for building model
detailing and analysis of BIM data.
TOOLS4REVIT BID helps you to insert any
number of elements (Furniture, Lighting
Fixtures, Mechanical Equipment, Structural
Connections, Areas, etc) by using built-in,
but fully customizable, rules into predefined
positions that are logically related with
other objects. A database of rules can be
easily extended by requesting us to
customize the tool for your needs.
-
Place light switches next to doors,
radiators beneath windows, hangers for duct
or trim around rooms
-
Create dynamic
legends that can contain multiple views of
your families or even photos
-
Renumber Rooms, Doors and Grids -
Anything can be renumbered with this
tool
-
Associate doors with rooms and even show
door opening direction in legends
This incredible Revit extension includes TOOLS4REVIT's
powerful
SORT & MARK,
DYNAMIC LEGEND and
CUT OPENING extension functionality.
This could possibly be the most powerful
Revit detailing tool on the market.

Feature
Set for Revit Architecture or Revit MEP
-
Parameters (type, material and any
geometrical data) of hundreds grouped or
sorted objects can be easy modified by
one click.
-
Vertical, horizontal, arc or diagonal
grids can be renamed depended on the
settings
-
“Sort Mark” – powerful function which
allows to renumber any elements in
different ways.
-
Swing direction values can be written to
any user parameter for doors.
-
All modifications are going in real
time, so the user can easily control the
process.
-
“Analyse data” function groups and
quantifies objects in different sections
of BIM data tree. User can select
different grouping opportunities and
filter elements for analysis.
-
Calculates areas and room wall finishes
(material name, gross wall area, net
wall area, wall segment length and etc)
and groups all data in different ways.
-
Any model elements can be selected using
different built-in rules.
-
There are possible other forms to show
and put on paper analyzing results. All
dialogs has functionality that helps to
create/update table data in the drafting
view with selected settings.
-
Connections with different systems (ERP,
Cost estimating solutions and etc) are
available by request
Building Information Detailing
(BID) 2012.2
What's new:
-
Added ability to modify Type
parameters, not just Instance
parameters;
-
"Configure Grouping" dialog is
updated. Now the dialog is more
flexible and the designer can select
any kind of parameters for grouping
and filtering;
- New
command "Calculate Value" is added
where user can use complex formulas
for calculation of new values;
-
"Sort Grids" now has the ability to
automatically rename grids during
the creation of grids in the Revit
project;
-
Project Browser is enhanced to so
the designer can easily find any
element and import it directly it to
the project:

-
Now it is possible to replace
curtain walls with windows (by
creating new types) when curtain
walls are used as windows in the
design process:

-
Added new command “Replace Element”.
Command changes selected family type
to a new one. It also copies
selected parameters to the new type.
For example, if you click on a
window, and select two cells in
table: Comments (Value - AA) and
Mark (Value - BB). Element will be
replaced and Comments and Mark
parameters will be copied. Also it
can keep old dimensions of family
and creates new type of
selected family;
- Now
the "Modify/Calculate Parameters",
"Analyze Quantities" and "Analyze
Totals" dialogs have the ability to
save user made settings during the
configuration;
-
Added new functionality to create
additional parameters in the
"Modify/Calculate Parameters" dialog
where needed values will be written;
-
Added new command “Write
Orientation” (for Walls, Windows and
Doors);
-
Added new command “Wall Joins” for
managing wall connections in the
project;
-
"Sort&Mark" now is a separate
function that allows for faster
sorting;
-
Added new function "Analyze Totals",
that allows the designer to see
parameters and sum of
quantities. This function is perfect
for filtering and selecting elements
from the project.
